Course
Course - 2012
This years course will be linear! If you don't know what that means... it is a constant nonstop route from start to finish. The last two years, due to construction on Guanella pass, the original course was not passable. The new course starts at the Breckenridge Ice Rink in Breckenridge, CO and heads over Boreas Pass. The course also includes "Sweet" Georgia Pass and now ends in Snowmass Village, CO.
Packet Pickup is on Thursday night at the Breck Ice Rink parking lot. Our host hotel is Beaver Run in beautiful downtown Breckenridge.
New this year is also our minimum number of runners allowed in the standard categories. The minimum is now 7 runners and maximum of 12. You guys will make your way on a 195 mile trek over 2 passes, on the famous and beautiful Colorado Trail and through some of the most gorgeous landmarks and paths Colorado has to offer. Each athlete will run 3 legs (or as determined by number of runners), each ranging from 3 to 13 miles.
Ahhh... We wish that we could run in it too. Although, I think we all get more of a kick creating this epic endeavor. Yup, we do.
